One Dead, Two Injured in Northfield Crash
The State Patrol says one person is dead and two others were injured in a crash in Northfield last Friday morning just before 10:30 a.m.
According to the State Patrol, an Audi Q6 driven by a Bloomington man was traveling eastbound on Highway 19 in Northfield and collided with a Honda CR-V heading westbound.
The driver of the CR-V, 26-year-old Dan Alejandro Venegas Garcia, of Northfield, died at the scene. His passenger, a 21-year-old female was transported to Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Q6 suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Northfield Hospital. The State Patrol says road conditions were dry at the time of the crash and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
