A 70-year-old woman died Monday after a three-vehicle crash at a Scott County intersection.
The drivers of the Escape and Explorer, identified as 48-year-old Darren Wendell Iverson and 18-year-old Jordin Isabelle Gummert—both from Cedar Lake Township—suffered non-life-threatening injuries and did not require transport to a hospital. Both were wearing seat belts, according to the State Patrol.
Road conditions at the time were reported as wet, a crash report said, though the cause of the crash is still being investigated. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office, North Ambulance and Mdewakanton Ambulance assisted at the scene.
