Motorcyclist Dies in Crash With Pickup in Wabasha County

 

A man from Wisconsin died Friday afternoon in a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck in Wabasha County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Troopers say the crash happened at 2:09 p.m. on Highway 60 at County Road 13.

A man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading west when he lost control and collided with a Ford F250 traveling east.

The motorcyclist, 43-year-old Michael Lee Kotlarz from Arcadia, Wisc., died at the scene.

The Ford was driven by a 65-year-old man from Theilman, Minn., with a 61-year-old woman passenger. Neither the driver nor passenger was reported to be seriously injured.

The State Patrol reported dry road conditions at the time of the crash. Outside agencies assisting included the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Wabasha Police, and Lake City Fire and Ambulance.

Authorities continue to investigate.
