Motorcyclist Dies in Anoka County After Hitting U-Haul

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says a motorcyclist is dead after striking a U-Haul attempting to make a u-turn in the city of Ramsey.

Emergency crews were called to the area of St. Francis Boulevard Northwest, just north of Alpine Drive around 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Bystanders and first responders attempted life-saving measures, however he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time.

According to early reports, the U-haul was traveling northbound before attempting to make a U-turn, when it was struck by the motorcycle, also traveling northbound. The adult female driver of the U-Haul was not injured.

The mans identity will be released by the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office at a later time.
