Man Fatally Shot at Saint Paul Apartment Complex Early Sunday

After a fatal shooting Nov. 30, 2025. via SPPD

A man was found shot and killed early Sunday morning in Saint Paul after 911 callers reported gunfire in the area.

Officers were called around 1:40 a.m. to an apartment complex on the 700 block of North Victoria Street.

When officers arrived, they found an adult man with multiple gunshot wounds and began lifesaving efforts until Saint Paul Fire medics took over. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

As officers were arriving, a vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene. The car crashed a short distance away on the 700 block of Englewood Avenue.

Police say the driver, an adult male believed to be the shooter, was taken to Regions Hospital with minor injuries as a result of the crash. He has since been released from the hospital and taken into custody. He has not yet been formally identified.

Homicide investigators are working to determine what led to the fatal shooting. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to confirm the victim’s identity and determine the exact cause of death.

This is the twelfth homicide of 2025 in Saint Paul, the department confirmed.
