Prosecutors said additional counts will be dismissed at sentencing. Plonski remains in federal custody as he awaits that sentencing, which has not yet been scheduled.

Plonski, who previously served as a trooper with the Minnesota State Patrol and as a U.S. Army Reservist, admitted to producing the videos while wearing both uniforms. Authorities said he filmed himself sexually assaulting an infant and later sent the recordings to another user on the messaging platform Kik.

Minnesota State Patrol Colonel Christina Bogojevic previously confirmed that Plonski’s employment had been terminated, issuing a statement saying, “No badge, no title and no position will ever place anyone above the law. Protecting the vulnerable is our duty. Anyone who violates that duty has no place in this organization or in our profession.”

Plonski was also charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct in Scott County. That case is still ongoing.
