3 Charged in Violent Crime Spree Across Ramsey County
Three people are now charged in a series of armed robberies across Ramsey County last week.
Authorities allege the group threatened others at gunpoint, were involved in a physical assault and a police pursuit in a stolen car.
According to the charges, 21-year-old Dylan Charles Jungwirth, of White Bear Lake, is accused of carrying out three separate armed robberies on Aug. 17 at a Speedway on Rice Street in Roseville and two BP stations in Little Canada and Roseville.

Prosecutors say Jungwirth wore a black mask and a Deadpool sweatshirt while pointing a handgun at employees and demanding cash. In one case, a clerk was assaulted when he tried to resist, and the suspects smashed his phone before fleeing. Investigators say Jungwirth stole less than $100 at the Speedway, about $386 at the Cleveland Avenue BP, and also took cigarettes during the robberies.
A criminal complaint alleges that 18-year-old Kemonie Terry Hurd, of Saint Paul, acted as a lookout during two of the robberies. At the Little Canada BP, Hurd is accused of holding the door while Jungwirth jumped the counter and pressed a gun into a clerk’s neck. Hurd also allegedly tried to steal a woman’s purse inside the store.
At the Cleveland Avenue BP, both Jungwirth and Hurd fought a clerk during a struggle over the gun, striking him in the head before fleeing in a blue Ford Fusion that had been reported stolen in Robbinsdale the day before. Location data from Hurd’s phone placed him at both gas station robberies. He is charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery, an additional robbery charge involving use of a weapon and attempted theft.

A third man, 21-year-old Kenneth Toy Spight, also of Saint Paul, is accused of driving Jungwirth to the first robbery and later fleeing police in the stolen Fusion. Officers arrested Spight after he was seen running from a car after crashing during the pursuit. He had $169 in cash, a black mask, and a phone when taken into custody. Investigators say Spight first denied involvement but later admitted driving Jungwirth to the Speedway and picking him up afterward. He is charged with aiding and abetting first-degree aggravated robbery.
Police say surveillance footage and witness accounts tied the three to the getaway car and to discarded clothing linked to the robberies. Jungwirth was already awaiting sentencing in an unrelated felony fleeing case at the time and has prior convictions for burglary and credit card fraud.
If convicted, each man faces up to 20 years in prison on the aggravated robbery charges.
