The driver, a 32-year-old man, was flown to a hospital by air ambulance because of the severity of his injuries, the sheriff’s office said. A passenger, a 22-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
Investigators believe alcohol was a factor and that both people were ejected from the side-by-side, the sheriff’s office said. Neither was wearing a helmet. There were no witnesses to the crash.
The sheriff’s office said the names of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation and possible charges.
Area ambulance services, air medical crews and fire departments assisted the sheriff’s office.
