The driver of a Hummer H2 was merging onto northbound I-35W from Burnsville Parkway when he struck a Freightliner semi, the report says.
That second crash injured the driver of the Equinox, a 20-year-old Burnsville man, who had been involved in the first crash. None of the other drivers were hurt.
Road conditions were dry. The State Patrol has not said what led to either crash or released the extent of the man’s injuries.
