Officers were first called to a residence in the 100 block of 5th Street Northwest just after 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, for reports of a man seen on the front steps and covered in blood.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They provided immediate medical aid before the man was transported to a hospital, where he later died. A second man at the scene was also shot at but was not injured.

Deputies with the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office responded just before 3:30 p.m. to the 4800 block of Voss Road in Mountain Iron after a caller reported an ATV crash.
