Steven Frane Bailey pleaded guilty in May to two counts of third-degree murder and three counts of criminal vehicular operation resulting in great bodily harm in connection with the Sept. 1, 2024 crash at Park Tavern.

Edina Police are investigating two separate stabbings that occurred less than 24 hours apart, including one where the suspect remains at-large.

A man died by apparent suicide during a traffic stop Tuesday evening in Minneapolis, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.

Inside the residence, Minneapolis police found two people dead and another woman in her 40s with a gunshot wound. She was taken to Hennepin Healthcare for treatment and is expected to survive.

Brooklyn Park police say Melchizedek Kpaan was taken into custody Friday morning in North Ridgeville, a suburb west of Cleveland, where officers had tracked him following a second-degree murder warrant.

Prosecutors say Deshon Kanye Gregory showed up to a home near 15th Street and 11th Avenue South just before 6:30 p.m. on July 15 after texting a woman who lives at the residence and telling her to “come out.”

When police arrived, they found a man in his 30s on the sidewalk with life-threatening gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by officers and EMS to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the federal indictment unsealed Tuesday, Vance Boelter is accused of stalking and killing Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, and of traveling to multiple homes of elected officials with the intent to intimidate or murder.

Officers responded just after 11:19 a.m. to Cub Foods at 3930 Silver Lake Road Northeast after an employee reported receiving a threatening phone call.

Investigators say he initially left the scene, but returned to Boom Island Park and opened fire into a crowd, killing 23-year-old Stageina Whiting and injuring five others during a gang-related shooting.
