Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash on Highway 610 in Brooklyn Park

A crash on Highway 610 in Brooklyn Park sent a motorcyclist to the hospital Wednesday morning after he struck a Mercedes and hit a guardrail.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision happened around 10:37 a.m. in the westbound lanes near Zane Avenue.

Authorities say 32-year-old Yevgeniy Konstantinov Samaray, from Coon Rapids, was riding a 2008 Yamaha FJR1300 westbound when he struck the passenger side of a 2014 Mercedes E.

After the impact, Samaray swerved right, collided with the guardrail and his motorcycle came to a stop in the roadway.

The Mercedes driver, identified as a 48-year-old man of Plymouth, was not hurt.

Samaray sustained life-threatening injuries and authorities say he was not wearing a helmet at the time. State Patrol investigation of the crash is ongoing.
