Valerie Zamora is accused of failing to seek timely help for her son despite repeated signs that the child was in medical distress throughout the day on May 15

Just after 11 p.m. on Sunday, Moorhead police were called to an apartment building on the 1000 block of 32nd Avenue South after a disconnected 911 call came in from a male voice asking for help.

Officers responded just before 9:30 a.m. on Sunday to reports of gunfire in the 2700 block of 14th Street South in Moorhead. They found a man lying in a driveway with a gunshot wound to the head.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Life-saving efforts were attempted, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, Moorhead PD confirms.

The driver—identified by authorities as Logan Robert Herold, of Pierz—admitted to consuming Busch Light beer earlier in the evening at a gathering with friends.

The stabbing victim, identified as the husband of 41-year-old Amy Ann Kelly-Skeie, suffered injuries to his chest and arm, including a critical puncture wound that required surgery to repair a severed artery.
