The investigation began Feb. 13 after police were contacted by a Best Buy supervisor who reported an employee discovered illegal material while remotely assisting a customer with a device issue.

The incident happened Feb. 19 at the courthouse in Anoka, where deputies moved to take the man into custody after a jury had just convicted him in a separate felony case.

Investigators say the boy tested positive for the drug after staying with his mother at a hotel in Coon Rapids in the days leading up to the hospital visit.

Prosecutors charged Khalid Hassan Mowlid, 18, of Maple Grove, with one count each of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and intentional discharge of a firearm.

Columbia Heights police responded with assistance from Coon Rapids police, Fridley police and Allina EMS after reports that shots were fired inside the New York Gyro restaurant.

The driver fled in a stolen vehicle and crashed into two other vehicles, leaving multiple people seriously injured.

According to a criminal complaint, officers arriving at the crash found the suspect seated in the driver’s seat as the lone occupant of one of the vehicles involved.

When officers arrived, they located Camron Lamar Hall, of Columbia Heights, who admitted to the shooting. Officers recovered a firearm that he was carrying on him, the court documents say.

According to criminal complaints filed last week, the robbery happened on June 18, 2025, while an ATM technician was working on a machine at a Wells Fargo location in Columbia Heights.

Kevin Andrew Kass and Chase Aaron Merchant were each charged with felony cruelty to animals resulting in death or great bodily harm and felony torture of a pet or companion animal stemming from an incident on Oct. 17, 2025.

The occupant of the vehicle was extricated from their vehicle and transported to a hospital where they were pronounced deceased. Authorities have not released the identity of the driver.

Clinten Michael Larson was taken into custody Friday, Dec. 19, following a barricade situation at a residence in the 18800 block of Jasper Street NW.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says the incident began Thursday just before 6 p.m., when the Emergency Communications center received a call from a homeowner in the 18800 block of Jasper Street NW.

When officers arrived, they found the hallway filled with thick black smoke and heard residents yelling for help. Officers immediately began evacuating elderly and immobile residents while working to control the fire.

The charges were filed this week after officers followed a single set of fresh shoe prints through the snow and found the suspect lying on the ground nearby.

Jeremy Robert Lind, of Ham Lake, is accused of causing the June 13 fatal crash at Highway 65 and Sims Road NE that left 74-year-old Audrey Marie Evans dead at the scene.

State Patrol officials said a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze went off the road and came to a stop in the median. The 66-year-old Forest Lake man driving the Cruze got out and walked into the northbound lanes.

When they arrived, officers found spent cartridge cases scattered near the townhomes and said it appeared the shooter had indiscriminately fired, impacting the structure in multiple locations.

Officers were called to the 500 block of 38th Avenue NE around 6:30 a.m., where they discovered an adult male who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to court records, 30-year-old Kendra Faye Dunblazier was sentenced on Wednesday to community service as part of the plea agreement.
