VIDEO: 74-year-old Man Rescued by Helicopter After Falling 50 Feet

The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office says a man is expected to survive after falling down a cliff more than 50 feet near the Saint Croix River in Franconia Township Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews were called around 2 p.m. to the bluff. When they arrived, crews called for mutual aid from the Taylors Falls and St Croix Falls Fire Departments for specialized technical rescue equipment.

An 18-year-old Saint Paul woman faces a felony charge for negligent fires after allegedly causing an apartment unit to burn, displacing 30 residents earlier this month. Wrong-Way Driver Dies After Crashing into SUV on I-35E

A drunk driver who was wrong-way on I-35E early Saturday morning near Cliff Rd. in Eagan crashed head-on into a GMC Yukon, causing the closure of the southbound lanes of the interstate for hours. The driver who caused the crash, Nraughli Vang, 28, of South St. Paul, was under the influence of alcohol, the Patrol said. He had life-threatening injury and was taken to Regions Hospital, where he later died.

Investigators say alcohol was a factor in a crash that killed one person and critically injured another Thursday night in Columbia Heights. Husband Arrested After Woman Found Dead Along Roadway

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office says deputies have arrested the husband of a woman who was found dead along a roadway in Fort Ripley Township last month. Authorities say a passerby called police on June 25, reporting they thought there may have been a body lying just off the roadway near the intersection of Legend Lane & Killian Road in Fort Ripley Township. Authorities arrived and confirmed the woman was deceased.
