A 41-year-old man from Mountain Iron was airlifted with life-threatening injuries Saturday afternoon after crashing an ATV in St. Louis County.

A Duluth man who admitted to sexually abusing a boy over a span of three years and producing explicit recordings of the abuse was sentenced Tuesday to 30 years in prison.

Emergency crews were called around 4:18 p.m. on June 5 after a 911 caller reported that his friend had gone missing while cliff diving into the water at the Genoa Pit near Gilbert.

Gideon Joseph Martin is charged in St. Louis County with first-degree assault for the use of deadly force against a peace officer, along with felony obstruction, fourth-degree assault, and misdemeanor fleeing on foot.
