The Spring Lake Park – Blaine – Mounds View Fire Department responded to a structure fire Sunday just before 11 a.m. on a report of smoke showing from a residence on the 7000 block of Groveland Road. In a media release, SBM Chief Dan Retka says crews arrived and found fire on the main level of the home.  A neighbor reported to firefighters that the homeowner may still have been inside the home.

A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found fatally stabbed inside a Waite Park apartment in February. Police were called Feb. 6 to an apartment building on the 300 block of Park Meadows Dr. in Waite Park to conduct a welfare check. Officers entered the apartment and discovered the victim deceased in the living room with lacerations to her neck.

A North Dakota woman has been charged with arson after allegedly setting a home on fire with a propane torch last Thursday in Stearns County. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office was dispatched on April 6 around 2:15 p.m. to the 43900 block of 248th Avenue in Krain Township, about 15 miles east of Sauk Centre, for a report of a dwelling fire.

Saint Paul police say a woman was fatally shot inside a residence in the Battle Creek neighborhood late Saturday morning and the suspect remains at large. Police were called around 11:15 a.m. to the 2200 block of Hillsdale Avenue for multiple 911 calls about a woman being shot.

Minneapolis police say a man was shot and killed just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Russell Ave. N. MPD says officers located a 34-year-old adult male outside of a residence with at least one gunshot wound to the neck. Officers provided medical aid until paramedics arrived and the man was transported by EMS to North Memorial Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Three people have been charged with aiding and abetting 3rd-degree murder, accused of providing a 21-year-old woman with the drugs that caused her death. 23-year-old Haley Ross and 21-year-old Connor Hoeft, both of North Mankato, along with 25-year-old Kueth Ruae, of Mankato, were all formally charged in court earlier this week.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says two people were able to escape a house fire early Thursday morning, with one of the residents jumping from a 2nd-story window. Emergency crews were dispatched to the 9900 block of Highway 22 in Alango Township, which is south of Cook. Dispatch received a 911 call from a resident saying there was smoke coming from the upstairs bedroom, where her nephew had been staying.

Saint Paul police are investigating a fatal shooting this morning in the parking lot of the Target store at 1744 Suburban Ave. after a male victim died a short distance away. Police have confirmed that the victim was transported by a private vehicle a short distance from the parking lot, to Fire Station 24 at 273 White Bear Ave.

A criminal complaint filed in court says that when Saint Paul police officers arrived on the 1000 block of Maryland Ave. E., around 9 p.m. Tuesday, they were escorted inside the home and found a female victim, bleeding from multiple injuries to her abdomen, chest and arms. Paramedics would late transport the victim—now identified as Corrina Woodhull, 41—to the hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

According to the criminal complaint, on March 20, 2023, just after noon, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls about a shooting that just occurred know the parking lot of a business. Officers responded to Dura Supreme, located at 300 Dura Drive in Howard Lake and located a man deceased in the driver’s seat of a truck in the parking lot. The victim was identified as 20-year-old Adrian Mantano Medina.

Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting in Saint Paul that left a pregnant 21-year-old woman dead earlier this week. Paul Dwayne Harris, 24, was arrested Thursday afternoon in Jordan and booked into the Ramsey County Jail on suspicion of murder.

Johnson K. Sirleaf, 32, from Plymouth, and Blanyon T. Davies, 29, of Brooklyn Park, were both arrested following the fatal shooting of Devon Adams outside the Cub Foods on 57th Ave. NE. Sirleaf has been charged with second-degree murder with intent (not premeditated), while Davies has been charged with aiding an offender.

An Eagan police officer was severely injured in a crash on I-35E just after 5 a.m. on Tuesday. MnDOT traffic cameras showed an Eagan squad car severely damaged in the center median, with a semi truck blocking the center lane just ahead and another passenger car with minor damage on the right shoulder.

A 26-year-old Landfall woman is facing two charges after she discovered a dating app on her boyfriend’s cellphone, stabbed him with a piece of glass and later tried to disarm a detective when she was arrested.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports a 17-year-old boy is dead and two other people were injured after a three-vehicle crash in Vermillion Township on Saturday.

Stillwater police confirm that a man is dead after exchanging gunfire with officers at an apartment building on Saturday afternoon. Police say they were dispatched to an apartment building located at 2225 Orleans Street West just before 2:30 p.m. for multiple reports of gunshots being fired inside. Another report came in to dispatch from someone inside saying they’d been shot.

Saint Paul police have confirmed that a total of five people were shot late Saturday afternoon in the city’s Frogtown neighborhood after a funeral gathering at a senior apartment building. Officers were initially called to the 500 block of Dale St. N. around 5:15 p.m. for a report of a “large argument” and one person who was shot, according to initial police radio dispatches.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating after Duluth police fatally shot a man who was reportedly wielding a knife and “charged” at officers Friday afternoon. According to Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa, around 2:20 p.m., officers were attempting to arrest a 34-year-old Duluth man for felony threats of violence near the 1500 block of East 5th Street in Duluth.

MPD says that around 11:35 p.m., officers dispatched to the 2800 block of Colfax Ave. S. found a man with at least one fatal gunshot wound and a woman in her 30s with a potentially life-threatening gunshot wound seated inside a vehicle.

Saint Paul police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in the city’s West Side neighborhood late Thursday afternoon. Just after 3:30 p.m., a 911 caller reported that a man was shot on the 500 block of Stryker Ave. When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.
