A 22-year-old Minneapolis woman has been charged with second-degree murder in a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl and injured five others in downtown Minneapolis early Saturday morning.

Authorities were searching for a man considered “dangerous” after a 68-year-old woman was found with fatal injuries at a Washington County residence Monday evening.

Hennepin County prosecutors have filed additional charges against a man accused of killing five women in a high-speed crash in June 2023. Derrick John Thompson, 27, of Brooklyn Park, now faces five counts of third-degree murder in addition to the original ten counts of criminal vehicular homicide.
