Authorities Kill Suspect Who Fired at Officers in Uptown Minneapolis Parking Ramp
A suspect was fatally shot by an officer inside a parking ramp near Fremont Ave. S. & W. Lake St. on Thursday afternoon. The man—who was confirmed to have died at the scene—was being pursued by officers before multiple gunshots were fired on the top floor of the parking ramp and it’s still unclear if the man fired shots at officers before he was struck.
9-year-old Girl Struck by Gunfire in North Minneapolis Dies at Hospital
A nine-year-old girl who was shot in the head in north Minneapolis earlier this month has died of her injuries, family members said Thursday. Trinity Ottoson-Smith had been hospitalized in critical condition for nearly two weeks.

A St. Paul man has been formally charged in connection to the shooting outside a downtown Minneapolis nightclub that killed two people and wounded several others. Jawan Contrail Carroll, 24, is accused of two counts of intentional 2nd-degree murder for fatally shooting Charlie Johnson, 21, of Golden Valley, and 24-year-old Christopher Jones, 24, of Brooklyn Park.
Bystander Killed in Minneapolis Shooting Was Set to Graduate College Hours Later
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner on Monday identified one of the victims of a shooting early Saturday morning in downtown Minneapolis as Charlie Bernard Johnson, 21, of Golden Valley. Johnson was an innocent bystander outside of the Monarch nightclub just before 2 a.m. when gunfire rang out. In all, 10 people were struck, with Johnson and another man dying of their injuries.

Saint Paul Man Gets Prison, $12M Restitution in MPD 3rd Precinct Arson
According to court documents, on the night of May 28, 2020, Branden Michael Wolfe, 23, went to the 3rd Precinct, where a crowd of hundreds had gathered after George Floyd’s death. Wolfe entered the building and stole several items including a police vest, duty belt, handcuffs, earpiece, baton, knife, riot helmet, pistol magazine, police radio, police overdose kit, uniform name plates and ammunition. He was arrested on June 3, 2020, after being spotted wearing the police vest, the duty belt and carrying the tactical baton in St. Paul.

St. Paul firefighters responded to two structure fires within the city in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 4. Firefighters were dispatched to the first structure fire just before 1:30 a.m. A garage fire was reported in the 500 block of Thomas Ave. in the Frogtown neighborhood.

State Troopers near Owatonna spotted a freshly stolen vehicle from the Holiday gas station on I-35, just north of the city late Sunday afternoon, April 25. Troopers initiated a pursuit and the driver fled at a high rate of speed to the north. Troopers continued the pursuit north into the city of Bloomington.
