On September 5, 2025, at approximately 6:20 P.M. Officers from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to a report of an aggravated robbery that occurred between 6:02 and 6:18 P.M., at an apartment building located on the 15000 block of Galaxie Avenue, in Apple Valley, Dakota County, MN. Officers spoke to an adult male, the Victim herein, and his girlfriend, Victim’s girlfriend herein, and learned that they traveled to the apartment building in Apple Valley to sell the Victim’s custom black PlayStation and 3 controllers, 2 white and 1 light blue.
The victim’s girlfriend posted the PlayStation for sale on Facebook marketplace and started communicating with “James Read” ultimately coming to an agreement for the sale/purchase of the PlayStation. On September 5, at 6:02 P.M., Victim and Victim’s girlfriend arrived at the apartment building and were instructed to drive around the building a couple of times, ultimately being instructed to park on the southside/front of the building. Victim’s girlfriend stayed in the car, while the Victim went to the west door and was met by an individual, Suspect 1. There were no cameras near the west door at the apartment complex.
Suspect 1 instructed the Victim to walk with him down the hallway to be able to plug the PlayStation into a monitor and ensure that it works. Thereafter, two additional males, Suspects 2 and 3 respectively approached with firearms. Suspect 1 also pulled out a firearm. All 3 suspects demanded the Victim hand over the PlayStation. Once the Victim handed over the PlayStation, Suspect 1 walked him out at gunpoint. The Victim immediately told his girlfriend what happened. The Victim’s girlfriend tried to message “James Read” but the Facebook account had been deleted.
The Victim and his girlfriend called 911. Investigators believed one of the suspects lived at the apartment building and that this was potentially connected to the “Juice Gang.” Investigators knew that there was a juvenile male, who resided at the apartment building who was connected to the “Juice Gang,” Witness 1 herein. The Victim was unsure if Witness 1 was one of the suspects. Investigators got a search warrant for Witness 1’s snapchat account. They located a group chat with several individuals.
On September 5, 2025, at 7:04 P.M. Witness 1 stated, “holy s*** Adam is tweaking.” Through their investigation, they identified “Adam” as ADAM FANAH ADAM ([DOB redacted]), 2 19HA-CR-26-123 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 1/23/2026 Defendant 1 herein, who was one of the individuals in the group chat with Witness 1. Defendant 1 lives next door to Witness 1 at the apartment building. On September 5, 2025, at approximately 6:30 P.M., in Witness 1’s snap chat, Defendant 1 talks about “Facebook marketplace” being the new method and describes a black PlayStation with 3 controllers, which matches what they took from the Victim.
