On January 7, 2026 at approximately 2:41 P.M., troopers were called to the report of a gun pointing incident that took place on U. S. Highway 52 southbound between Butler Avenue and Thompson Avenue in the City of South Saint Paul, County of Dakota, State of Minnesota. The reporting party told troopers that he was driving on U. S. Highway 52 when the vehicle in front of him began brake checking him and the driver was flipping him off. The reporting party provided the license plate number for the suspect vehicle, which was registered to DANIELLE J KILLPACK-LAWRENCE [DOB REDACTED]. The reporting party switched lanes and as he pulled up next to the suspect vehicle, he saw the driver yell at him to “f*** off” and hold up a black handgun for the reporting party to see.
The reporting party told officers that he feared for his life and exited the highway at the next exit to call 911. After taking that report, troopers responded to KILLPACK-LAWRENCE’S address and found the suspect vehicle in the driveway. Troopers spoke with KILLPACK-LAWRENCE who admitted to being involved in a road rage incident. KILLPACK-LAWRENCE told troopers that a truck was tailgating her on the highway so she made a “finger gun” gesture with her hand first to get the truck to back off. When that didn’t work, she grabbed her handgun and showed it to the truck’s driver to get him to back off.
KILLPACK- LAWRENCE told troopers that she made a mistake and knew she should not have done it. KILLPACK-LAWRENCE was arrested and transported to jail. During the execution of a search warrant at KILLPACK-LAWRENCE’S address, troopers located a loaded handgun matching the description provided by the reporting party as well as KILLPACK-LAWRENCE inside the residence. Troopers also located a live round matching the ammunition in the handgun under the driver’s seat of KILLPACK-LAWRENCE’S vehicle.
