On January 28, 2026, The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension received an Internet Crimes Against Children report for offenses occurring at a residence in the City of Lakeville, County of Dakota, State of Minnesota. Kik, an online social media platform, reported that an individual making recordings of the individual masturbating while holding his infant child and with a toddler child nearby. Agents were able to identify the individual as Nicholas Roger Goldberg, [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein. Agents reviewed recorded media that was either recorded or published to Kik.
The media included the following: Video shows defendant holding an infant child with one arm as he masturbates, using his other hand to rub up and down on his erect penis. The video is 24 seconds in length with audio. This was created on December 15, 2025. Video shows defendant walking in a home while masturbating himself, using his hand to rub up and down on his erect penis. He walks towards and near a young female child, who appears to be under the age of three years playing in a closet. The child says, “daddy.” The video is 14 seconds in length with audio.
This was created on January 22, 2026. Video shows defendant in a home standing in front of a young female child who appears to be under the age of 3 years. The male is masturbating himself, using his hand to rub up and down on his erect penis. The child [NAME REDACTED] at his penis and repeatedly says, “this” and “that.” She comes within an inch or two of touching the end of his penis. Video is 18 seconds in length with audio. This was created on January 22, 2026. Video shows defendant masturbating, using his hand to rub up and down on his erect penis.
He is standing next to a closet. Inside the closet is a female child about the age of 3 years playing with toys. The video is 12 seconds in length and has audio. This was created on January 22, 2026. Video shows defendant masturbating, using his hand to rub up and down on his erect penis. He is holding a small child appearing to be 3 years of age in his other arm. She is wearing a green short jumper. Video is 10 seconds in length with audio. This was created on January 22, 2026. A search warrant was executed on defendant’s residence.
Agents were able to confirm that the children in the recordings were defendant’s 2-year-old and 4-month-old children. The recordings occurred in defendant’s residence. In a Mirandized statement, defendant admitted to recording himself masturbating with his small children present. Defendant claimed he was encouraged to do so by other individuals on the Kik platform. Agents observed defendant tell his wife that he made the recordings with their children present.
