On June 8, 2026, the Bloomington Police Department received a report of criminal sexual conduct that occurred at a residence in Burnsville, Dakota County, on June 6, 2026. Victim came to the department and gave a statement. Victim reported that she dated JERRY CHARLES LONG (DOB: 1980), Defendant herein, between October 2021 through March 2024. Victim [NAME REDACTED] didn’t have any contact until the fall of 2025 when they became friends. Defendant invited Victim to a concert on June 4, 2026 at a casino.
The next morning Victim and Defendant spent the day with friends, ending up at Defendant’s residence in Burnsville, where they had a bonfire with some neighbors. Victim stayed at Defendant’s house because she had been consuming alcohol and did not want to drive. Victim went to bed with Defendant in his room around 1:30 A.M. Victim was wearing sweatpants and a shirt and put a pillow divider between her and Defendant. Defendant got on top of Victim and pulled off her clothing. Defendant attempted to perform oral sex on Victim, [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant stuck his fingers inside Victim’s vagina, roughly ramming them back and forth, causing Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant held Victim down on the bed by her arms, neck, and face during the assault.
The officer observed red marks and bruising on Victim’s arms, wrists, and neck and a scratch on her forehead consistent with her statement. Victim [NAME REDACTED] did her best to resist Defendant but he overpowered her. Victim pleaded with Defendant to stop, told him that she did not want it, and that he did not want to do it. Defendant responded something similar to “I’m already in trouble, so I’m going to stick my dick inside you!” Victim [NAME REDACTED], kick, and scream in an effort to resist Defendant’s assault.
Defendant was able to penetrate Victim’s vagina with his penis. Victim was unsure whether Defendant ejaculated due to how much she was fighting him. Defendant eventually stopped and rolled over next to Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim was in shock and very afraid. She saw the clock said 5:00 am. Defendant grabbed Victim’s neck roughly during the assault, squeezing it, and also covered Victim’s mouth during the assault. Victim [NAME REDACTED] didn’t lose consciousness but repeatedly yelled at Defendant that she didn’t want to die.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] at about 8:00 am. She noticed Defendant was awake next to her, on his cellphone. Victim collected her belongings and got dressed. Defendant wanted to talk to Victim, who 3 19HA-CR-26-818 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 6/11/2026 said she didn’t want to talk and wanted to leave. Victim went downstairs to grab her car keys. Defendant stood in front of the door, holding a handgun, and told Victim she was not leaving until she spoke to him. Victim said she wanted to leave and he needed to let her go.
