On April 7, 2026, at approximately 8:06 P.M., the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office was dispatched on a report of a domestic incident at a residence on SE 28th Street located in Crow Wing County, State of Minnesota. Deputy Bartels arrived at the apartment and spoke with an adult female identified as REB (fully identified in police reports). REB stated that she lives at the apartment with her daughter and sixteen-year-old son identified as GAR (fully identified in police reports). REB stated that she is married to Jeremy Michael Bump, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter defendant.
The defendant is the father of her daughter. REB stated that she is estranged from the defendant and they are living at separate residences. They are in the process of getting a divorce. REB stated she returned home today and observed the defendant sitting on the couch in her apartment. She had not given him permission to enter her apartment. They started arguing about child [NAME REDACTED]. She told him he needed to leave her apartment. He refused to do so. She then walked up the stairs and entered her son's bedroom.
Her son, GAR, was in the room at the time. The defendant followed her up the stairs. REB stated that she hid behind her son. GAR told the defendant he needed to leave the residence. The defendant told GAR "no." REB stated that she felt scared for her life. REB stated that she blacked out and left the residence and ran to her neighbor's house. She was told later by her son that the defendant then left the residence as well. The defendant then called her approximately sixteen times in a short time period right after the incident.
Deputy Bartels spoke with GAR. GAR stated the defendant came to the residence. The defendant began yelling at REB when she returned to the residence. GAR said he told the defendant he had to leave the residence. The defendant told him "no" and refused to leave. Deputy Bremner then went to the defendant's residence where he was located and taken into custody. The defendant stated that he went to REB's residence to drop of their daughter. He entered the residence by using the code to the garage. He said REB had requested that he stay at her apartment with their daughter until she returned home.
He said once she returned home they got into an argument. She "flipped out" on him and kept telling him to leave. He stayed and tried to get her to calm down. She then left the residence. He then went home. He acknowledged that he called her approximately sixteen times right after this incident.
