Charles Eric Mccool

On December 14, 2025, officers from the Eagan Police Department responded to a theft report at a business located on the 2000 block of Cliff Lake Road in Eagan, Dakota County, MN. Upon arrival, officers spoke to loss prevention who stated that the suspect, later identified as CHARLES ERIC MCCOOL [DOB REDACTED], the Defendant herein, had taken multiple high value items and passed all points of sale without making any attempts to pay. Ultimately the Defendant was stopped at the exit of the store but wasn’t compliant with store employees.

The total value of the items taken by Defendant were $1,334.69. Officers located the Defendant nearby and he was placed under arrest. During a search incident to arrest, officers located a white powdery substance which they believed to be cocaine. The Dakota County Drug Task Force NIK tested and weighed the substances which tested positive for fentanyl. The total net weight of the substance was 2.21 grams.
