On January 12, 2026, police were dispatched to a residence located in Eagan, Dakota County, Minnesota, based on reported threats. An officer contacted the reporting party who lived at the address, identified herein as “Victim.” Victim [NAME REDACTED] had broken up with her boyfriend, JERRELL LEE COLEMAN [DOB REDACTED] earlier that evening and blocked his number on her phone. When she returned home, Victim [NAME REDACTED] from a restricted phone number. When Victim answered one of the calls, she heard COLEMAN, who told her that he was on his way and that he was going to kick her door down.
COLEMAN told Victim that she better call police now, so they get there before he does because he was going to kick her door down and killed her. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was very scared because she was home with her two minor children. Police waited in the area of Victim’s address to see if COLEMAN appeared. An officer called the number Victim [NAME REDACTED], and he answered. COLEMAN stated that Victim [NAME REDACTED], then started arguing with the officer to the point where the officer ended the phone call.
The officer then went inside and spoke with Victim further. While doing so, Victim’s phone was consistently ringing. Victim [NAME REDACTED] one point, and COLEMAN was on the phone. The officer again spoke to COLEMAN, at which point COLEMAN started yelling, screaming, and cursing. COLEMAN has an active felony warrant in a domestic strangulation case out of Ramsey County. His whereabouts are currently unknown. A warrant complaint is requested so conditions of release can be established.
