On March 25, 2026, officers were dispatched to a group home located in the City of West. St. Paul, Dakota County, Minnesota, for an attempted robbery. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim who stated that two males in the program at his group home had attempted to steal his electric bicycle. The males were later identified as Tyrone Davante Davis Jones [DOB REDACTED] and Emondre James Morrison [DOB REDACTED]. The victim [NAME REDACTED] was riding his bike on the sidewalk when Jones stepped in front of him and held the front wheel which caused the bike to stop.
Morrison jumped on the victim’s back, wrapped his arm around his neck and then bit the victim [NAME REDACTED]. Jones and Morrison smelled like alcohol and told the victim to give them his bike. After a brief struggle, the victim was able to get away and went back to the group home where he told staff what had just happened. A staff member observed Jones and Morrison running back to the group home shortly thereafter. Officers observed a bite mark on the victim’s back. Jones and Morrison were arrested on scene.
In a Miranda interview, Morrison admitted to bear hugging the victim and telling him to “give me your bike” but claimed that he and Jones were just joking with the victim. Morrison also admitted that he “might have” bit the victim.
