On November 17, 2025, officers from the Mendota Heights Police Department responded to a bank located on the 1000 block of Dakota Drive in Mendota Heights, Dakota County, MN on the report of a theft that occurred on November 14, 2025. The reporting party, a bank employee, stated that an adult woman, later identified as DESTONIE MARIE FORD-MORSE [DOB REDACTED], the Defendant herein came in and cashed a check written out to “Tammy Joyal.” The Defendant presented a Wisconsin ID with her own picture and the name Tammy Joyel, as well as a check for $3,000.00. The bank employee cashed the check and gave the Defendant $3,000.00. The Defendant also tried to withdraw an additional $4,000.00, but when the bank said they had to make a call about this withdraw, the Defendant became upset and left.
Officers contacted the actual Tammy Joyal who stated she knew nothing about a $3,000.00 rent check. Additionally, the actual Tammy Joyal does not match the picture on the ID, the Defendant used. On November 14, 2025, the Defendant was also at a bank in Minnetonka, Minnesota with an ID that had a different name, but same picture, attempting to cash a check.
