On March 17, 2026, at 8:07 P.M., Burnsville police officers responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road 11 and Interstate 35E in Burnsville, Dakota County, MN. Officers arrived and spoke with the drivers involved. The driver of one vehicle was identified as Defendant PAMELA ANN EGERER [DOB REDACTED]. Defendant said that she had been driving home from work at the American Legion in Apple Valley. Defendant is a bartender. Defendant said that the other driver had driven past her and yelled that she was “faded.” Defendant said that she was unsure what happened and all she could say was that she must not have stopped in time.
Defendant said that the accident occurred by the Kwik Trip at the intersection of Palomino Drive and County Road 11. As the officer spoke with Defendant, he observed that she was slurring her words and having trouble balancing. When asked if she had consumer any alcoholic beverages, Defendant said that she had stayed after work to have a few drinks before her ex-boyfriend showed up and she decided to leave. Defendant said she had on Fireball shot and on Irish Car Bomb. Due to the observed signs of impairment and Defendant’s admission to drinking, the officer conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs). During the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, the officer observed a lack of smooth pursuit in both eyes and distinct nystagmus at maximum deviation in both eyes.
The officer did not have Defendant perform the Walk and Turn test because of the road and weather conditions. Defendant provided a PBT sample with a result of 0.173 BAC. Officers spoke with the driver of the other involved vehicle. They stated that they had been sitting at the stoplight and when it turned green, Defendant drive into the back of their car. Defendant hit their car twice. The driver denied injuries from the collision. Defendant was arrested and placed in a squad vehicle. At the police department, the officer read Defendant the Minnesota Breath Test Advisory.
Defendant indicated that she would take the test. Defendant provided breath samples for the DMT and the result was 0.17 BAC. In a Mirandized statement, Defendant admitted that she had started drinking at 5:00 P.M. That 2 19HA-CR-26-383 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 3/19/2026 evening. In addition to the two drinks previously admitted to, Defendant said she drank a Southern Hospitality. Defendant said that the last time she ate was 9:00 P.M. The night before. An officer searched Defendant’s vehicle and located a partially consumed shooter of Fireball.
In Defendant’s purse, officers located a small blue container holding pills, some of which appeared to be Adderall. Defendant stated that she is not prescribed Adderall and buys it from someone at her workplace. Defendant said that the last time she took the medication was sometime between 6:00- 7:00 P.M. That evening. Officers and the Dakota County Drug Task Force identified the pills using Drugs.com Database. There were 17 pink colored pills stamped with “e 504” and “15”. These were identified as Amphetamine / Dextroamphetamine, which is a Schedule II controlled substance.
