Probable Cause
On December 14, 2025, at 6:18 P.M., Eagan police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the City of Eagan, Dakota County, Minnesota. When officers arrived, they located the person causing the disturbance, the defendant herein, Thomas John Yager, and detained and searched him for officer safety. In the defendant’s pocket they located two plastic bags containing a crystal substance they believed was methamphetamine. The contents of each bag were preliminarily tested. The test indicated the presence of methamphetamine in one bag, and the net weight was.66 grams.
The contents of the other bag tested preliminarily positive for fentanyl and it weighed.22 grams.
