On August 5, 2025, an officer with the Inver Grove Heights Police Department took a theft report regarding an incident that occurred on August 4, 2025, at an apartment building on Ashley Lane in Inver Grove Heights, which is within Dakota County. The officer spoke with K. B-G., an adult woman fully identified in police reports, who works in the apartment building’s office, regarding the theft. K. B-G. Reported that on August 4, 2025, she saw a woman enter the building’s mail room, rummage through the packages in the mail room, before leaving with several of them.
It was determined that at least two of the packages the woman took belonged to different residents in the building. K. B-G. Identified Sade’ Jacole Allen [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter “Defendant,” as the one who had taken the packages from the mail room. K. B-G. Informed the officer that Defendant was a former who had previously been evicted for non-payment of rent and utilities and that she was trespassed from the property, but that she still had a valid account through the company that owns the apartment building that allows her to access the mail room.
The officer was able to access security footage for the mail room. The footage showed a woman, understood to be Defendant, entering the mail room before grabbing packages from all around the mail room, reading the labels and shaking a few of them. Defendant put some packages back, but stacked others into a pile and left the mail room with what appeared to be six packages. None of these packages belong to Defendant. The officer was also able to verify that Defendant’s account was used to access the mail room at approximately 6:56 pm on August 4, 2025, the same time the theft occurred.
