Count 1Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor VehicleTraffic
Probable Cause
On March 12, 2026, a law enforcement officer was on routine patrol in the city of Farmington, Dakota County, Minnesota. The officer observed a truck in a parking lot that was registered to AK. Law enforcement was familiar with AK and knew her to reside with and share vehicles with CHRISTOPHER JASON BERGREN [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, who had multiple active felony warrants. When the officer passed the truck, he observed an individual matching Defendant’s description in the driver’s seat. The truck then turned around, left the area quickly, and pulled into a driveway.
While at the residence, law enforcement visually confirmed the driver of the truck was Defendant. A white Buick pulled up to the residence. AK who was driving the Buick, exited the vehicle and went into the driver’s seat of the truck while Defendant ran to the Buick and drove it away. Law enforcement pulled up to the side of the Buick with emergency lights activated to initiate a traffic stop. The officer exited his squad and walked over to the driver’s side window with his firearm drawn while another squad with lights activated stopped in front of Defendant.
Defendant looked directly at the officer at his window and accelerated away. Law enforcement pursued the vehicle with lights and sirens, successfully initiated a traffic stop, and arrested Defendant on his 8 outstanding felony warrants.
