On or about January 16, 2026, deputies with the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an assault at Woody’s Liquor Box located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Randolph Township, which is within Dakota County. At the scene a deputy spoke with S. E. B. [DOB REDACTED], an adult woman fully identified in police reports, hereinafter “Victim,” who was sitting in her vehicle. The deputy observed that Victim had a cut on her left hand and appeared upset. When asked if she needed medical attention, she indicated that she did, but for her back, not her hands.
She also indicated that the man who had assaulted her was inside Woody’s Liquor Box and that he was an employee. She indicated that she and the employee had a “political argument,” and that the argument had escalated and the employee had shoved her and that she had landed on her back outside the store. Deputies entered Woody’s Liquor Box and made contact with Nicholas Joseph Sullivan [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter “Defendant.” Defendant indicated that Victim had entered the store and had begun making comments about Defendant being a supporter of President Trump, as well as comments about Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.
Defendant indicated that he had told Victim to leave the store and escorted her out, and that she continued to shout at him, and that he pushed her out the front door of the business, where she fell to the ground. Deputies reviewed the security footage from Woody’s Liquor Box. In the footage Victim can be seen entering the store, Victim and Defendant can then been seen having an argument, at which time Defendant walks Victim to the front of the store. At the store’s front door, the two could be seen continuing to argue, at which time Defendant pushed Victim backwards, causing her to fall to the ground.
Victim reported to law enforcement that after being pushed by Defendant she was treated at the Trauma Center at Saint Mary’s Hospital in the City of Rochester, and it was determined that she had a broken arm as well as six broken ribs as a result of her fall. She further reported that as a result of the fall her wrist was broken in several places and that she required surgery to repair it.
