Deputies were called to the report of a gun pointing at a residence in Randolph, County of Dakota, State of Minnesota. The reporting party told deputies that on January 6, 2026 he received a text message from JOSHUA DAVID HARO [DOB REDACTED] telling the reporting party to come to HARO’S residence in Randolph to fight him. The reporting party went over to HARO’S residence between 8:00 P.M. And 10:00 P.M. And while walking up the driveway saw HARO walk out from behind the residence. The reporting party stated he saw a green laser start at his feet and the start to travel up his body.
The reporting party then stated he saw HARO holding a handgun pointed at him with a green laser attached to the firearm. HARO told the reporting party to get off of his property or he would shoot him. The reporting party then got back into his vehicle and left. The reporting party provided deputies with screenshots of text messages between HARO and the reporting party from January 6. The text messages show the reporting party and HARO began messaging around 4:44 P.M. On January 6 with messages about meeting up at HARO’S residence to fight.
During the text conversation, the reporting party started “you wrre shaking even with a gun in your hand.” HARO responded “Nah that laser was rock steady b****” and “and honestly deserve a hollow in your ass.” Several messages later, HARO stated “Fought much bigger than you boy I could tell you had a weapon cuz it was u who was shaking game recognize game and u just don’t gkt it […] thays why the steel came out just to show u my weapons are better.” Later in the conversation, the reporting party stated “yea see you pull a gun and say you wrre gonna shoot me in my chest.
U a bifch.” HARO then responded “lol”, “laser never touched your chest”, “I wanted to watch you limp”, “and I really think the world would be better without u so shooting u I would have found it noble.” HARO continued to text the reporting party past 11:30 P.M. At one point sending a series of text messages about kidding the reporting party. HARO stated “Im literally going to choke the life out of you next time I see you”, “kf you want to die come on back yoy wont remove my hands off your next until your eyes fade away”, “pussy butch bring your back up it wont matter ths time im going to latch onto your neck and straifh fjcking kill you”, “I am going to watch your pupils change due to lack of oxygen you wont be able to stab me off of your f****** throat I wish I wouldn’t have been so kind to you to let you live with ylur life”, and “I 2 19HA-CR-26-33 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 1/9/2026 would prefer tonight but ill.come down to you tomorrow broad daylight if I gotta.” Deputies responded to HARO’S residence in Randolph.
Deputies made contact with a female who was inside the residence and confirmed HARO was inside. While speaking with the female, deputes believed they saw a red laser light come from inside the residence so deputies retreated. HARO eventually exited the residence and was taken into custody. While HARO was being taken into custody, he stated, unprompted, “whoever said they saw a laser is lying, the laser in my gun is green.” After waiting his Miranda rights, HARO told officers that the reporting party showed up at his residence unannounced around 8:00 P.M. HARO stated he met the reporting party at his driveway and had his firearm with him, but never pointed it at the reporting party.
