On January 11, 2026, at approximately 6:25 pm, officers received a report of thirteen-year-old Child [NAME REDACTED] from her mother’s residence in Farmington, Dakota County. Officers also received information that Child had been speaking with MATTHEW ALVIN HALL [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Their conversations were sexual in nature. Defendant was located later that night at a gas station. Officers asked Defendant where Child was at and he replied, “I brought her back home.” He also told officers “I was about to go home.
We were just laying down. We weren’t doing anything.” Defendant said he’d picked child up around 6:30 the night before and dropped her off a few minutes before the officers found him. Defendant said he’d met Child on a messaging app a couple months prior and she had “led him on” and said she was nineteen. Defendant initially denied anything sexual happening with Child but then admitted that he’d engaged in vaginal intercourse with her and dropped her off at the park in Lakeville. Officers searched the area where Defendant left Child, [NAME REDACTED] in a park at around 2:44 am.
Child told officers she’d been picked up by her friend Matthew. Child provided similar details to events of the night, including engaging in sexual intercourse in Defendant’s car.
