On March 2, 2025, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to incidents involving burglary, motor vehicle theft, and tampering with a motor vehicle at two residences located in the City of Albertville, Wright County, Minnesota. The residences involved were within two blocks of each other. 1. [ADDRESS REDACTED]: at approximately 9:05 A.M., Victim A (full identity provided in law enforcement reports) reported that between 11:00 P.M. On March 1, 2025, and 900 A.M. On March 2, 2025, an unknown person burglarized their residence and stole a vehicle parked in their driveway.
Investigation revealed that entry into the attached garage was likely made via a garage door opener from a vehicle parked in their driveway. Keys to a different vehicle (2015 Acura TLX) were stolen from a location inside the occupied residence. The Acura was driven a few houses away and abandoned. A wallet located in the Acura and belonging to Victim A (containing several credit cards) was stolen. Victim A checked his account and discovered that one of his credit cards had been used for two transactions ($487.68 and $379.30) at the Roseville Target store located in the City of Minneapolis. 2. [ADDRESS REDACTED]: at approximately 7:31 A.M., Victim B (full identity provided in law enforcement reports) reported that between 11:30 P.M. On March 1, 2025, and 7:30 A.M. On March 2, 2025, an unknown person burglarized their residence and stole a vehicle from within their attached garage.
Investigation revealed that a garage door had been inadvertently left open on the night of March 1, 2025. The unknown suspect entered the occupied residence and stole the keys to a 2013 Ford Fusion. Other items taken from inside the home included credit cards, identification cards, and two coats. Victim B reported that at approximately 7:30 A.M. She received an alert that there was an attempted use of her credit card at Target stores located in the cities of Minneapolis and Roseville and a McDonald’s store located in Minneapolis.
The Ford Fusion, taken from inside the garage, was entered as stolen. Surveillance video from the Victim B residence and a neighboring residence captured images of two suspects running from the scene. One suspect was wearing a blue sweatshirt with a black jacket over it. Surveillance video was obtained from the Roseville Target store. The video shows that a male was dropped off at the entrance by someone driving a Ford Fusion. The male is wearing a black balaclava and a blue sweatshirt. The male makes two purchases using Victim A’s credit card, exits the store, and is picked up by someone driving a Ford Fusion.
On March 3, 2025, Inver Grove Heights Police Department Detective R. Malcolm contacted the Wright County Sheriff’s Office and advised of a potential suspect for the Albertville burglaries. Detective Malcolm 3 86-CR-26-1671 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 3/24/2026 reported that he had previously obtained a court order and placed a tracking device on a vehicle known to be driven by Joven Devon Louis Wallace, DOB: 04 06 01, hereinafter defendant. Detective Malcolm reported that tracking data revealed that on March 2, 2025, at approximately 3:30 A.M., Defendant Wallace’s vehicle was observed driving from the City of Minneapolis directly to the City of Albertville.
