On January 21, 2026, at approximately 12:30 PM, officers were dispatched to a residence on Thompson Avenue in West Saint Paul, Dakota County, Minnesota, on report of a domestic assault in progress. Dispatch advised that the reporting party, herein “Victim,” stated her boyfriend ALBERT BETHROW MEYERS [DOB REDACTED], punched her in the face and was armed with a knife. Upon arrival to the residence, Victim answered the door to law enforcement. MEYERS was present inside the residence as well. MEYERS was belligerent and holding a cigarette and can of beer.
MEYERS was yelling about he did not do anything and that he did not have any guns on him. Due to the allegation of MEYERS being armed with a knife, officers conducted a pat search of MEYERS. They located a pocketknife in MEYERS’ pants pocket. Officers spoke to Victim [NAME REDACTED]. She stated that she was at the residence with MEYERS earlier in the evening and MEYERS left to buy crack cocaine. She stated that eventually MEYERS returned to the residence and she believed he was both drunk and high.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] was acting belligerent, yelling at her, and verbally harassing her. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was getting sick of MEYERS’ behavior, so she decided to get her phone out to record him, to be able to show it to him at a later time to see how he was behaving. Victim said that this upset MEYERS and he then smacked her in the mouth. Victim [NAME REDACTED] at some point during the argument, Defendant held the pocket knife up to her neck. She indicated that the blade was not retracted at that time.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] was scared of MEYERS. MEYERS was convicted of Misdemeanor Violate Domestic Abuse No Contact Order in April 2023, in Dakota County file 19WS-CR-23-3568. MEYERS was convicted of Felony Threats of Violence in April 2023 in Dakota County file 19HA-CR-22-2599.
