On December 17, 2025, at approximately 8:50 AM, officers with the Eagan Police Department received a Flock Camera hit for a stolen license plate, MN-LWK527, in the area of Duckwood Drive and Pilot Knob Road in Eagan, Dakota County, Minnesota. The Flock hit stated that the involved vehicle was a Buick Enclave SUV out of Minneapolis. The hit further stated that one plate had been stolen and the other had been destroyed on 12/15/2025. When officers arrived at the area of the Flock hit, a dark colored Buick was observed to be parked at the air pump at a gas station off Town Centre Drive.
A male was seen standing next to the vehicle with no other individuals inside the vehicle. The vehicle appeared to match the Flock camera picture. Upon reaching the south side of the gas station, the officer observed no front plate on the Buick. The Buick was then observed to be leaving the gas station. An officer followed behind the vehicle, which then quickly turned into the parking lot of a restaurant off Town Center Drive. One officer entered the parking lot behind the Buick and activated his emergency lights.
That officer followed behind the Buick in the parking lot. Another officer in a separate squad car entered the parking lot and came around the opposite direction with his emergency lights activated. The second squad vehicle ended up in the direct course of path for the Buick. The get around the second squad vehicle that was now in its path, the driver of the Buick drove over a snowbank and then quickly exited the restaurant parking lot. The driver appeared to be a white male with a beard. Officers followed behind the driver of the Buick, which eventually got onto 35E going North.
The vehicle began to accelerate rapidly and gained a significant distance from the following officers. The driver of the Buick was using both the left and right shoulders of the roadway to pass vehicle. Traffic was busy. Officers continued to follow with their emergency lights and sirens activated. Officers eventually lost sight of the Buick. Dispatch reported that the vehicle appeared to have spun out on North 35E and Highway 62. When officers arrived at that area, the vehicle was stopped, then continued up the ramp and exited East onto Highway 62. The driver of the Buick, again, began passing other vehicles on both the left and right shoulders.
Officers lost sight of the vehicle again. Eagan officers worked with Minnesota State Patrol and other law enforcement agencies to attempt to locate the suspect 2 19HA-CR-25-2146 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 12/19/2025 vehicle. The vehicle was later seen driving westbound on County Road 42 in Rosemount. Officers were unable to stop the vehicle in that area. The vehicle then was traveling Northbound on Highway 77 into Hennepin County. The vehicle eventually stopped at 52nd and 2nd Ave in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
