On July 31, 2025, officers responded to a residence in the City of Eagan, County of Dakota, State of Minnesota. Officers met with Victim, an adult female fully identified in the police reports. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was assaulted be the father of her child, [NAME REDACTED], [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein. Victim [NAME REDACTED], defendant had come over to spend time with their shared child. Defendant accused Victim of going through his phone. A fight ensued. Defendant hit her across the face multiple times.
Defendant pushed her down on the bed, placed two hands on her neck and applied pressure, hindering her breathing. Defendant used his hands to prevent her from calling for help and took her phone to prevent her from calling 911. After the assault, Victim [NAME REDACTED]. When she awoke, defendant was gone. Officers observed red marks on Victim’s neck and the right side of her jawline. Victim reported a ringing in her ears and difficulty opening her mouth. Officers were unable to locate defendant. On September 24, 2025, officers were again dispatched to Victim’s residence at the above location.
Officers met with Victim at a nearby store. Victim [NAME REDACTED], appeared fearful, and hyperaware of passing vehicles. Victim [NAME REDACTED] would see her cooperating with police. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on September 21, 2025, Victim got into an argument with defendant at her residence. Defendant picked her off the ground by her throat and carried her by her throat to a bedroom. Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim woke up to defendant rubbing her chest. Defendant apologized and acknowledged he could have killed her.
Afterwards, defendant refused to leave her apartment. Defendant does not reside with Victim. On September 24, 2025, defendant engaged in an argument with Victim. Defendant hit her in the face, causing her lip to split. Victim went into a bedroom to change her toddler’s diaper. Defendant continued the argument and removed the child [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant then lifted Victim up by her throat and told her that she would listen to him. Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Afterwards, Victim went to the living room where she cried, gagged, and split out blood from her split lip.
While victim attempted to regain her composure, defendant again got on top of her on the bed and repeatedly punched her in the upper and 3 19HA-CR-26-78 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 1/16/2026 lower torso. Defendant stopped after she begged him to. Victim pretended to take out the garbage and called 911. Victim had injuries consistent with the assault, including a cut in her mouth and scratching on her neck. Officers and Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Officers observed the residence’s front door to be partially ajar.
Victim and defendant’s 18-month son was located alone at the residence. When officers left the residence, the child’s car seat was located outside the residence. It appears defendant dropped the car seat off during the investigation. Officers searched for, but were unable to locate, defendant. Defendant’s whereabouts are unknown. Officers are currently attempting to locate defendant. Given the severity of these offenses, this Complainant requests a warrant.
