On August 21, 2025, at approximately 4:26 am, officers with the Mendota Heights Police Department responded to Bogey’s Bar, which is located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] Lilydale, MN 55118, which is within Dakota County on an alarm call. On the scene officers determined that the sliding window next to the building’s back door was open and off its track. A windowpane was also broken. Officers waited on scene until a keyholder, M. P. B., an adult male identified in police reports arrived and the officers were able to enter the building.
Inside the officers observed damage both to a pull tab machine as well as an ATM. Upon further inspection it was determined that no money had been taken from the ATM, however the owner of the ATM later reported to law enforcement that the cost to repair the machine was approximately $500. Officers were later able to make contact with the owner of the pull tab machine who confirmed that $1,853 had been taken out of the machine, and that it would cost approximately $1,000 to repair. Officers collected security camera footage from Bogey’s as well as several other nearby businesses and were able to construct a timeline of the burglary.
That timeline is as follows: At 4:02 am, a male suspect, hereinafter “Suspect-1” wearing a light hooded sweatshirt, a black face covering, gloves, dark pants, dark shoes and a backpack can be seen approaching Bogey’s from a wooded area behind the building. At 4:05 am Suspect-1 can be seen entering Bogey’s through the back window before approaching the pull tab machine and attempting to break into it. He can be seen to have a tool, believed to be a pry bar in his hand. It is understood that Suspect-1 entered the building with this tool.
At 4:07 am Suspect-1 can be seen to have gained access to the pull tab machine before removing a bag with money inside from it. Suspect-1 can then be seen returning to the back window with the bag. At 4:08 am Suspect-2 can be seen collecting a handsaw from the window before unplugging the ATM inside the building and attempting to gain access to the ATM. It is understood that Suspect-1 entered the building with this handsaw. Between 4:08 and 4:15 am Suspect-1 can be seen attempting to break into the ATM multiple time and going back and forth to the window multiple times.
At 4:11 am, a male suspect, hereinafter “Suspect-2” wearing a hooded windbreaker jacket, dark pants, and black and white shoes can be seen approaching Bogey’s. At 4:13 am, Suspect-2 can be seen walking and then running away from Bogey’s with a bag in his hand. At 4:16 am, Suspect-2 can be seen returning to Bogey’s, again with a bag in his hand. Also at 4:16 am, Suspect-1 can be seen returning tools to the back window before attempting to break into the dart machine inside the building. 2 19HA-CR-26-715 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 5/20/2026 At 4:17 Suspect-1 can be seen exiting the building via the back window.
