On January 15, 2026, at approximately 4:00 P.M., officers from the Rosemount Police Department responded to do a welfare check at a residence on the 14000 block of Biscayne Avenue West in Rosemount, Dakota County, MN. Officers received a call from an adult female, the reporting party, who stated that she was on a televisit with 2 adult females, Victim 1 and Victim 2 herein. During that televisit, Victim 1 was messaging the reporting party that her brother, identified as BAILEY ARLEN PEDERSEN [DOB REDACTED], the Defendant herein, was making threatening comments.
Victim 2 is the Defendant’s mother. Specifically, Victim 1 messaged the reporting party that the Defendant was threatening to buy a guy and kill them both and to slit Victim 2’s throat. Victim 1 asked the reporting party to call 911 on their behalf because the Defendant was still in the home, and they were not able speak freely. When officers arrived, Victim 1 and Victim 2 confirmed the type of threats made by the Defendant. Both Victim 1 and 2 expressed fear that the Defendant could follow through with the threats.
Officers also spoke to the Defendant, and he admitted to threatening them. Officers also located a pocketknife on his person. When Victim 1 and 2 learned that the Defendant was likely going to jail they no longer wanted to provide a formal statement. Defendant had a legal name change in 2019. His name previously was Ashton Tassili Blott. (See Court File: 19AV-CV-19-2045). The Defendant has at least two prior qualified domestic related convictions within the last 10 years: 1.
