On March 22, 2026, at approximately 10:36 P.M., Brainerd Officer Jordan Host (hereinafter "Host") was on patrol when he saw a male on a bike leaving a known drug house in Brainerd. Host recognized the male as someone known to use methamphetamine. Host followed the male as he biked to the Holiday Gas Station on South 6th Street and saw him briefly interact with the driver of a vehicle parked at the pump, who was later identified as Eric James Pryor, [DOB REDACTED], the DEFENDANT herein. Immediately after their interaction, the man on the bike left and DEFENDANT drove out of the parking lot onto Norwood Street.
Host followed DEFENDANT in the vehicle and saw him fail to signal before turning onto South 6th Street. Host conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle near the intersection of Colonywood Lane and Southwest 6th Street in the City of Brainerd, Crow Wing County. During the stop, DEFENDANT admitted to using methamphetamine 3 weeks prior and to having a "dirty bag" in the vehicle. Host told DEFENDANT he believed DEFENDANT had purchased meth from the man on the bike and DEFENDANT admitted he had a bag of methamphetamine in his pants.
Officer Host collected the baggie, containing a white substance that later field-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed approximately.9 grams. DEFENDANT was placed under arrest and then transported to the Crow Wing County Jail, where he remains in custody.
