On December 6, 2025, officers of the Eagan Police Department noted a vehicle driving in the City of Eagan, Dakota County, Minnesota. The officers observed that the vehicle was driving without rear lights on and appeared to only have daytime running lights on the front despite it being 5:20 P.M. And dark. The officer followed the vehicle into a nearby parking lot and activated emergency lights on their patrol vehicle. The vehicle without headlights continued through the parking lot and exited while increasing speed.
The officer activated the patrol vehicle’s siren and the other vehicle increased speed to approximately 50 miles per hour. The officer attempted to maintain a visual on the vehicle and did not attempt to intercept the vehicle due to road conditions. Due to this, the officer lost sight of the vehicle but then reobserved the vehicle as it had attempted to cross an intersection and collided with another vehicle. The officer arrived and observed a male passenger exit the passenger side door and begin running behind a second individual.
A witness reported to law enforcement that two individuals had been observed running towards the rear of a nearby apartment building and officers observed footprints in the snow which lead them to Daniel Andres Sanchez-Agredo, born on [DOB REDACTED]. Mr. Sanchez-Agredo admitted to driving the vehicle and that he had known that law enforcement was attempting to pull him over.
