On March 29, 2026, at approximately 1:54 P.M., law enforcement was dispatched to a domestic assault at an apartment in Barnesville, Clay County, MN. Victim reported that HANNAH DESAMILLE BLANKENSHIP, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant" had threatened him with a knife. Victim [NAME REDACTED] in a relationship and live together. Specifically, Victim [NAME REDACTED] had been arguing the night before and she had commented to him that he "better sleep with one eye open". The next morning, Victim went into the bathroom to tell Defendant to stop using all the hot water.
When Victim [NAME REDACTED], Defendant swung a knife at him and told him to not open the door because she has rights. Later, Victim went into the bedroom to retrieve clothing. Defendant told him not to come into the bedroom and swung the knife at him again. Victim [NAME REDACTED] said that she has "stabbed one person before and I'll do it again". Law enforcement was able to collect the knife after Victim [NAME REDACTED] inside a laundry basket. The knife was a kitchen knife. Defendant is currently awaiting sentencing in 14-CR-25-2682. In that file, it is alleged that she assaulted a different man following an argument by retrieving a gray folding knife from the kitchen counter and dragging it across her throat like she was cutting her throat.
Defendant then approached that victim with the knife raised over her head. The victim [NAME REDACTED] was backed up against the wall and telling the defendant to stop as she had the knife within a foot of him and moved the knife up and down vertically in front of him. She ultimately pled guilty to disorderly conduct in that file. She also has a pending case for 5th degree possession and violation of a DANCO in file 14-CR-25-3839. DV Court matter.
