On September 2, 2025, at approximately 1632 hours, Bloomington Police Officers responded to a report at the Bloomington Police Station. Officers spoke with the reporting party (Victim), who stated that on August 18, 2025, at approximately 2030 hours, she was at the Suburban Studios located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] South, Bloomington, Hennepin County, with KEVIN LOUIS BRENDEMUEHL, Defendant herein. Victim [NAME REDACTED] in a romantic relationship for the past couple of months. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on August 18, she and the Defendant got into a verbal argument.
Victim [NAME REDACTED], and Defendant attempted to stop her in the hallway of the apartment building. Victim [NAME REDACTED] onto her and stated, "I was just making sure you didn't have any of my s***." Victim [NAME REDACTED] went to her car and the Defendant threw a Bluetooth speaker at her vehicle twice, kicked the driver side door, and broke the driver door latch. Victim stated multiple times that she was not concerned about the altercation and just wanted him to be responsible for her vehicles damage.
Victim's father and Defendant attempted to work out a payment plan for the damage, but Defendant felt the estimates were unreasonably high and he is unable to pay that amount. Caliber Collision Bloomington estimated the damage repair to be $5796.07. On September 18, 2025, Officers spoke with Defendant regarding the incident. Defendant stated that he left the room to get breakfast for himself and Victim, [NAME REDACTED], Victim [NAME REDACTED]. He suspected that she took something of his and he ran down the hall after her.
She then got into her car and was trying to leave. Defendant stated that he threw the Bluetooth speaker at the vehicle out of anger and it caused damage. Defendant stated that he tried to work out a payment plan for the damage estimate, but that he is homeless and has no money. Defendant is currently in custody in Minnesota on a separate matter. Therefore, the State respectfully requests that this Complaint be issued as a warrant.
