On November 24, 2025, at approximately 3:31 A.M., police received a report of a vehicle travelling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-35E. The Minnesota State Patrol was able to locate the vehicle on traffic cameras and follow its movements while a trooper responded. The trooper located the vehicle travelling in Lakeville, Dakota County, Minnesota. The trooper observed the vehicle navigate a roundabout, and the vehicle failed to maintain its lane. The trooper stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as CURT TREVOR ROLLAND [DOB REDACTED]. ROLLAND denied driving the wrong way on I-35. The trooper observed that ROLLAND had glassy eyes that were bloodshot and smelled the odor of alcohol.
ROLLAND denied drinking any alcohol. The trooper asked ROLLAND to complete field-sobriety testing and observed multiple signs of impairment. ROLLAND took a preliminary breath test, which showed that he was above the legal limit of 0.08. ROLLAND was arrested. The trooper read ROLLAND the Breath Test Advisory and gave him the opportunity to contact an attorney. ROLLAND submitted to a breath test at 5:10 A.M., and the result was 0.10.
