Just after 9 p.m. on Monday, June 2, officers from the Paynesville Police Department, Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and Cold Spring Police Department were dispatched to a home on the 600 block of Stearns Avenue.

Officers were dispatched just after 9 p.m. to a home on the 600 block of Stearns Avenue in Paynesville after a woman reported being assaulted by a man inside the residence.

Deputies on scene determined there was probable cause to arrest the suspect for domestic assault. When contacted by phone, he refused to come outside, made threats and claimed to have multiple firearms.
