On November 2, 2025, at approximately 1:37 A.M., law enforcement was on routine patrol in the area of 35th Avenue North and 3rd Street North, City of Minneapolis, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Law enforcement observed a parked vehicle (MN license plate ZPB017) with its engine running. Law enforcement observed two occupants who appeared to be slumped over. Law enforcement approached the vehicle and observed the two individuals unconscious in the vehicle. Law enforcement then observed a firearm on the passenger seat next to the front passenger’s left leg.
Law enforcement also observed an open bottle of hard liquor in the center console. Law enforcement made contact with the front passenger, later identified as TRUDALE RAYMOND WILLIAMS [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, and he was instructed to get out of the vehicle. Defendant was then detained. Law enforcement searched the vehicle and located the firearm under the front passenger seat when Defendant was seated. Law enforcement removed the firearm and processed it. The firearm was found to be loaded with a live round in the chamber.
Defendant is prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior convictions for crimes of violence: 1. 27-CR-09-11722: Simple Robbery Committed for Benefit of Gang (Aid/Abet - GOC) – Date of Conviction: 07-13-2009; and 2. 27-JV-09-954: Simple Robbery - Certified as an adult – Conviction Date: 03-09-2009. Defendant has a federal felony conviction for Unlawful Transport of Firearms in 2012 (see 0:11CR00216- DSD-JJK (Federal) – Date of Conviction: 08-21-2012). Defendant also has a federal felony conviction for Possession of a Firearm by a prohibited person in 2018 (see 0:17CR00060-SRN-HB (Federal) – Date of conviction 01-24-2018).
