Probable Cause
On April 6, 2026 at approximately 1:00 am, officers with Fridley PD were checking speeds on Central Ave in the City of Fridley in the County of Anoka, when they observed a vehicle going 103 mph in a 60 mph zone. The vehicle was again clocked at 118 mph, and an Officer with Fridley PD began to pursue to effect a traffic stop with emergency lights and sirens activated. The vehicle began to accelerate even faster, and began to rapidly switch lanes, appearing to head towards one exit, then another. The vehicle also exited the highway and then quickly got back on in an attempt to evade officers.
Eventually, a tire deflation device was successfully deployed, and the driver was apprehended. The Driver, Alijah James Lee Reese-Slayton [DOB REDACTED] was taken into custody.
