Aaron Charles Hill

On May 16, 2026, at approximately 2:41 A.M., Officer Buresh was in his squad car, stopped facing westbound on 101st Avenue N. W., at the light on Foley Boulevard N. W., in the City of Coon Rapids, Anoka County, Minnesota, when he observed a GMC Terrain bearing MN license plate [PLATE REDACTED] that failed to stop at the red light as he was driving southbound on Foley Boulevard N. W. Passing 101st Avenue N. W. The officer initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle kept driving until he merged onto Highway 10 N. W. And finally pulled over.

The officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Aaron Charles Hill, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein. Defendant provided the officer a paper copy of his ID, which the officer found was a driver's permit. The Defendant was the only person in the vehicle. The officer found that defendant did not have a valid drivers license and only had a Class D instruction permit, which required a licensed driver in the vehicle. Defendant said he knew he shouldn't be driving. The officer observed a half empty bottle of liquor in the backseat on the passenger side floorboard.

Defendant said the bottle was his friends and he forgot it was there. The officer could smell the odor of fresh marijuana coming from the vehicle. Defendant admitted that he had smoked marijuana several hours prior. Officers requested that defendant exit the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a.45 Glock 30 with one round in the chamber under the passenger seat of the vehicle. The bottle of liquor in the backseat was tequilla. There was fresh marijuana scattered on the floor of the vehicle.

The officer found that defendant did not have a valid permit to carry the pistol.
